Amy Bowles
School Counselor and Health Teacher
Amy joined Our Sisters’ School in August 2024 as our School Counselor and Health teacher. Her role focuses on the emotional well-being of students by offering individual and small group counseling services for any student in need. She aims to support all students, families, and teachers, striving to promote a culture of wellness at OSS.
Amy comes to OSS with a background in teaching and counseling in both public and private schools. With a B.A. in Geology from Smith College, she served as a middle school science teacher at Noble and Greenough School and worked for Duke University’s Talent Identification Program during the summers, teaching Coastal Ecology to high school students. She then completed an M.Ed. at Harvard University, with a focus on Risk and Prevention for adolescents.
Outside of OSS, Amy dedicates time to travel and learning in Latin America. She has studied Spanish since 2007 and spends her free time delving into Spanish literature. You can also find her hiking the many nearby trails and spending time with her dog, Juanito. She is an avid fan of hockey, soccer, and baseball, and a frequent visitor to area museums.
