Lea Pabon
Teaching Assistant
Lea attended Mount Wachusett Community College for Business in 2006 and moved to New Bedford in 2016. She volunteered for The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) as part of the “Love the Ave Project” and was recognized by the Mayor for her contributions to creating a mural at Acushnet and Phillips Ave. Lea's hard work was also recognized by the PACE community. Before becoming a Teacher’s Assistant, she worked for four years at PACE Head Start as a substitute teacher. Lea loves working with young people both in and outside the classroom, and she takes pride in her ability to partner as a co-teacher and identify students who need support.
Lea joined the OSS community as a parent and volunteer in 2023. She quickly grew to love the students and staff and has since become an integral part of our teaching team! Outside of work, Lea can be found cooking up a storm to feed her beloved family or dominating the lanes at the bowling alley—she even has a custom Shrek bowling ball!
