Michelle Roy
Student & Family Coordinator
Michelle is joined the OSS team in 2023 as the Student & Family Coordinator. She brings with her 35 years of experience as an educator and educational leader. During her first 15 years, she served as a secondary teacher of mathematics and later Department Coordinator for grades 7-12. During this time she developed an annual Women in STEM Symposium which brought graduates in STEM fields to offer workshops for grades 5-8 girls and their mothers.
As her love for collaborating with teams on lesson design grew, Michelle transitioned into her role as K-12 Director of Curriculum and later Assistant Superintendent. This common thread continued onto her educational thesis where she focused on the Lesson Study model where educators work together to design and evaluate lessons and their impact on student learning and engagement.
