Music
Tom Short, a long-time OSS music teacher, is the lead Orff and wind instrument instructor. A professional musician, he conducts several wind ensembles including the Acushnet Classical Ensemble Youth Orchestra in Fairhaven during the summer. He earned a B.A. in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan. A private music instructor with the Symphony Music Shop in Dartmouth, he also plays in two local bands, Pumpkin Head Ted and The Dancing Dogs. He has released several CDs and continues to teach and perform in the area.
